MxM : Participate

Would you like to participate in the Minute by Minute audio project? Here are four ways to get involved:

MxM in Person

If you live in the Los Angeles area, please e-mail me to arrange an interview. A Minute by Minute mutual interview typically requires 15 minutes to record, and can be conducted at any location.

MxM by Phone

Skype users can contact me by clicking on the Skype logo to the right, or by contacting yorkrules through the Skype control panel. If you are not already a Skype user, visit www.skype.com to join for free, and make free SkypeIn calls around the world!

MxM Voicemail

Skype users can contact MxM Voicemail by clicking on the Skype logo to the right. You have 1 MINUTE to answer the pre-recorded MxM question. If you are not already a Skype user, visit www.skype.com to join for free, and make free SkypeIn calls around the world!

MxM Do-It-Yourself

You can record your own Minute by Minute mutual interviews, then submit them to yorkrules to share with the world. Here’s how:

1. Find a partner - a family member, friend, or even a stranger - to share in the experience. Using a digital audio recorder, such as an Apple iPod with a Belkin TuneTalk™ Stereo audio recording accessory, produce your own Minute by Minute segment , following this format:
   • Introduction - Begin by telling us who you and your partner are (first names are sufficient.) If you’d like to tell us a little more about yourselves before the interview begins (Where are you? How do you know one another? Why did you choose to produce your own Minute by Minute?), this is your opportunity.
   • Question #1 - Ask anything you like (What’s the most terrifying experience you’ve ever had? Is there something you’ve never forgiven? Is there someone you wish you’d never lost track of?) Your partner has 1 MINUTE to answer the question.
   • Question #2 - Now your partner can ask you anything he/she would like. You have 1 MINUTE to respond.
   • Conclusion - If you’d like to make a few short closing remarks, please do so. Once you’re finished, stop recording.
2. Record another segment (Optional) - I typically record 3 segments with each partner. You are welcome to record more or less, but a total of 3 is ideally-suited for posting on yorkrules.
3. Submit - Send your MP3 audio file(s), along with a digital photo of you and your partner, to mxm@yorkrules.com. Selected submissions will be posted to yorkrules.

MxM Legal Release

By participating in Minute by Minute, you grant Minute by Minute and its legal representatives and assigns the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use, distribute, and publish audio recordings and images, for any purpose, submitted. You hereby release Minute by Minute and its legal representatives and assigns from all claims and liability relating to said audio recordings and images.
