Election Day 2006 is one week away. We can expect that there will be even fewer Americans casting their ballots then. Some won’t vote because they’ve been killed serving their country. Others won’t vote because the ten minutes it requires to walk down the street to the neighborhood polling place to punch a card just seems like too much of a hassle.
Too busy? Too lazy? Too apathetic? Republican, Democrat, or Independent, if you don’t vote on November 7, you dishonor all the lives that have been given, and will be lost in the next week overseas, to protect your right to be heard.
If you would like to encourage others to vote, you can click on the image below to download the poster-sized PDF version, which you can have printed at Kinko’s for under $10. Use spray adhesive to post it in public spaces, and remind Americans that voting is a duty, not an option.
