Always quick with a well-considered word of wisdom, the Canadian author and playwright Robertson Davies had an illuminating and encouraging comment for me after my last entry, even though he’s been gone, lo, these many years (Internet access in the Afterlife?):
Don’t plan your life too much. Let things happen to you. Much more interesting things will happen to you than you can devise for yourself.
